Commercial Fisherman Experience

Did you know that well before the tall buildings and beautiful bridges were constructed in Sarasota, it was first known as a fishing village? The ride along with a true Fisherman who fishes the Sarasota waters will be both informative and invigorating.  The type of fishing adventure is all dependent on the season: it could be mullett season where the fisherman uses giant cast nets, stone crab season where the fisherman tends to each underwater crab trap, and more. Not for the weak-stomached, this particular trip is not a fishing trip for you this time around, but you will witness first hand how commercial fishing works. Keep in mind that the boats are small and you will get wet, grimy, and fishy!  We strongly recommend that you do not wear your Sunday’s best on board!  Bring a change of clothes! You must have adventure in your bones and be willing to be covered in fish perfume by the end of the day.  The captain might have an extra pair of fish boots, depending on your size.
